Welcome to the Newhard Chalet
The Newhard Chalet is located at 52 Martingale Place, in the Melton Ranch area of Snowmass Village, Colorado.
In September of 1998 a fire destroyed the original Newhard Chalet, which was the first home built in Snowmass Village in 1967, as the resort was being built.
A new larger chalet was built adjacent to the old home site and was completed February of 2000. The new chalet has 5 bedrooms with a loft and 4.5 baths on 3 levels. The house has 10 beds and sleeps 16 if including 2 on a sofa bed.
On the main floor is the entry, living room, dining room and kitchen and the master bedroom with long king bed and its own bath. There is a powder room bath as well as a coat closet. The living room has a gas fireplace and the kitchen is well equipped with a new gas range, refrigerator with ice maker and an island prep area, microwave and pantry. This level has great views from many large windows.
The lower level view looks out and opens on the hillside overlooking Brush Creek Road and the Continental Divide. There are three bedrooms with queen beds and a family room with a sofa bed, and a widescreen TV with DVD and Cable. There are 2 baths on this level, one with tub shower and the other with stall shower. Access to the 8-person hot tub is from the family room on this level. All rooms have nice views with large windows.
On the upper level there is a bedroom with 2 twin beds and a twin trundle (sleeping 2 in separate twins). There is also a balcony sleeping area with 2 twin beds. This level sleeps 6 total - all twin beds. There is a full bath on this level as well.
All bedrooms have TVs with Cable and DVD. The chalet includes free wireless Internet access.
The chalet is near the free shuttle bus route (every 20 minutes during the day) and we hope to provide you with an on-the-slope parking permit which makes your vehicle "ski in-ski out".
